12 honest questions about your own site. You get a score and, more usefully, the specific things to fix — ordered by what actually costs you customers rather than what looks worst.
Nothing is sent anywhere: it all runs in your browser, and there is nothing to sign up for. Have your site open on a phone while you answer.
Clarity
Can a stranger tell what you do within five seconds?Show someone your homepage for five seconds, take it away, and ask what the business does and who it is for.
Mobile
Is it comfortable on a real phone?On an actual phone, on mobile data: text readable without zooming, buttons big enough for a thumb, nothing spilling sideways.
Does something appear within about three seconds?On mobile data, not your office wifi.
Conversion
Does each page have one obvious next step?Name the single thing you want a visitor to do on the page, then check whether it is the most prominent element.
Is contacting you one click away — and does it actually work?Send yourself a message through your own form and confirm it arrives.
Trust
Can visitors find out what it costs, at least roughly?A price, a range, or an honest "projects start around X" all count.
Is there evidence other people have used you?Testimonials with real names, client logos, case studies, numbers, reviews.
Can someone tell who is behind the business?A real name, a face, a location — not just a contact form.
Is everything current?No old copyright year, dead social links, or announcements about events that already happened.
Craft
Are your spacing and sizes consistent?Gaps come from a small set of repeated values rather than whatever looked right at the time.
Is there a clear visual hierarchy?An obvious first, second and third thing to read, with real size difference between them.
Is running text a comfortable width?Roughly 60–75 characters per line, not the full width of a desktop screen.
